Van is a self-proclaimed doctor or "revivalist", as she likes to call herself. She has an award-winning smile that makes her clients very susceptible to her manipulation, she leaves a lingering sadness in her town.

When Van was a kid, her mother Chesirai found a freshly birthed animal in a dumpster. It was strange looking, and the majority of the neighborhood couldn't identify what it was. Until someone pointed out that it looked like a species that went extinct long ago. An opportunity had risen and her mother would take the chance to capitalize off of it. Van thought that the bird was freaky, like it could peck her eyes and rip her hair out at any moment; she was surrounded by it, merchandise and posters everywhere. Eventually, Van herself was being used as a marketing device and Van would gradually despise avians. When Chesirai was growing old and feeble, she made her followers build a machine out of it. For a few years, Van took care of her mom, until she vanished out-of-the-blue. Van didn't think much of it and decided to use the device for her own purposes. Along with the rest of the Siksagone's, she feels the need to be as successful as she can and leave an impact on the world. She never managed to graduate high school, even retaking grades over and over until deciding to quit. In contrast, her mother basically made the whole country of Burbox obsess over this strange bird she kept promoting everywhere. Van likes to think her mom's work was underwhelming and pointless, but deep down jealousy silently eats at her, fueled by Chesirai's accomplishments.

At some point, Van is running low on supplies, and she finds herself in a predicament. Her usual sources include recently deceased roadkill, pig skins from the local butcher shop, and spare organs from previous patients. However, the demand from individuals looking to have their deceased loved ones resurrected exceeds what she can provide. To address this problem, Van decides to advertise for a supplier. After weeks of waiting, the only person to respond is one of the Aloe siblings.
